Evaluation of four major projects financed by the Amazon Fund and implemented across six Brazilian states, supporting sustainable production, sociobiodiversity value chains and local organisations. The work combined field visits, stakeholder interviews and programme analysis to assess effectiveness, governance, resource use, territorial impacts, safeguards and the sustainability of supported value chains. The evaluation generated recommendations for GIZ, BNDES and implementing partners to strengthen future investments, monitoring systems and the delivery of conservation and livelihood outcomes across the Amazon.

Strategic assessment of bioeconomy opportunities in Southern Bahia, with a particular focus on cocoa production, sociobiodiversity products and value chains capable of supporting broader territorial development. The work analysed market opportunities, local production systems, institutional arrangements, conservation priorities and potential financing mechanisms, connecting sustainable production with regional economic development. The study provided a practical basis for identifying investment opportunities and strengthening strategies linking biodiversity, rural livelihoods and territorial development.
